Congressman Mike Lawler (NY-17) has criticized the Biden Administration for not vetoing an anti-Israel UN resolution. Lawler, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, expressed his disappointment in a statement released today.

"Since the barbaric terrorist attack of October 7th, my position has been clear: in order for there to be a ceasefire, Hamas must surrender and safely return all hostages. Full stop," Lawler stated firmly regarding his stance on the issue.

Expressing his disapproval of the Administration's decision, Lawler said, "I’m appalled that the Administration would take this action and effectively abandon Israel at the United Nations. President Biden must immediately reverse course and reaffirm our commitment to Israel and its right to defend itself without equivocation or precondition."

Lawler highlighted the potential consequences of the Administration's actions, stating, “Failure to do so undermines American diplomacy and our standing as leader of the free world.”

The Congressman represents New York's 17th Congressional District, which includes parts of Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, and Westchester Counties.
